James E. Booth

Jim Booth is the General Manager of FirstPoint Management Resources. Jim is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and maintains that credential through the American Society of Association Executives. In his first year as Director of Operations he guided FirstPoint Management Resources to Association Management Company accreditation through the AMC Institute. He has four decades of association management experience which includes planning and executing meetings on four continents. Jim served in the US Navy on the USS Roanoke AOR-7. Jim has served associations in various staff and volunteer leadership positions at the local, state, national and international level. He is a frequent speaker and author in various association management publications, including Associations NOW published by the American Society of Association Executives. He will become Chair of the AMC Institute Accreditation Committee in 2024. Jim received his BA in Humanities and his Master of Science in Management from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, NJ. He and his wife Shaffy have two children.
